As we move further and further into the digital age, every shopping aspect is going online, and car buying is no different. To keep up with the times, Toyota launched a new online shopping tool back in 2020 called Toyota SmartPath, and it provides customers a more convenient and flexible digital retail experience. To learn more about this online shopping tool, continue reading down below.

What is Toyota SmartPath?

As we mentioned, SmartPath is an online tool for Clarksville and Russellville customers looking to buy a new Toyota. But what does it do? With SmartPath, shoppers will have a seamless transition between the online and in-dealership spaces. This makes researching, shopping, and purchasing a Toyota much easier than it has ever been before.

Since its conception back in April of 2020, SmartPath has been adopted by more Toyota dealers than any of the third-party alternatives available, and that number continues to grow. This tool has helped facilitate more than 50,000 vehicle sales and over 200,000 customer inquiries. And our Hopkins dealership is included in those numbers. To say that this system has been helpful would be an understatement.

Expanding Toyota’s Digital Footprint

More and more people are turning to online shopping every year. According to J.D. Powers and Associates, 45% of consumers now express comfort with car shopping online. And because of Covid-19, it said that digital shopping in the U.S. has grown 10 years in just two.

With the recent uptick in digital sales and Toyota’s commitment to online shopping, it seems that SmartPath came out at just the right time. And this is merely the beginning. In the coming years, Toyota is looking to allow its SmartPath platform to provide financing and vehicle protection products. It also aims to assist dealers in fully shifting their service and parts retail businesses into the digital realm.
