For the first time in seven years, a new generation of the famed Toyota Camry has arrived here at Toyota of Hopkinsville. The ninth-gen Camry includes many updates, such as a standard hybrid powertrain and all-new tech. What hasn't changed, though, is that several trim levels are available, so every prospective driver can find a midsize sedan with the features they want at the price tag they need.

The 2025 Camry roster opens with four trim options: the LE, SE, XLE, and XSE. Which of these levels should you be looking at? Our 2025 Camry trim guide goes over the best parts of each so everyone can find the Toyota Camry for sale that's right for them. First, though, we'll look at the things that are the foundation of every Camry.

What Each 2025 Camry Trim Has in Common

Regardless of which trim you choose, the all-new Toyota Camry comes with a standard hybrid powertrain. The base front-wheel drive configuration uses a 2.5L four-cylinder gas engine and two electric motors producing 225 hp, up from 202 hp in the 2024 Camry Hybrid. You can add a third motor on the rear wheels, which boosts total horsepower to 232 and makes the Camry all-wheel drive for improved traction. Both setups are linked to an electronic continuously variable transmission with electronic control for the best gear ratio in all conditions. The Star Safety System uses features like Enhanced Vehicle Stability Control and Traction Control to help the Camry stick to the road.

The spacious interior measurements are universal on all Camry trims, with 42.1 inches of front legroom, 38 inches of rear legroom, and 15.1 cubic feet of cargo space. The total passenger volume is 98.8 cu.ft. with the optional moonroof and 99.9 cu.ft. without, so everyone has space to breathe in the improved, more ergonomic seats. Other standard features include full LED exterior lighting, push-button start, an acoustic windshield, dual-zone climate control, heated side mirrors with built-in turn signals and blind spot warning lights, and the confidence of an IIHS Top Safety Pick+ award.

Now that we've established some important commonalities, let's look at the differences between the 2025 Camry trims.

Toyota Camry LE: Great Value in a Daily Driver

As the entry-level trim once again, the 2025 Toyota Camry LE is the baseline for this sedan—but the baseline is still plenty impressive, and it starts at just $28,700.[a] The LE is the most fuel-efficient 2025 Camry with an EPA-estimated 51 MPG combined in FWD and 50 MPG combined in AWD. You can go an estimated 663 miles between fill-ups, which is a day-long drive. The driving characteristics are also excellent, with a redesigned suspension that includes independent MacPherson front struts with tower bracing, a multi-link rear suspension, and dual stabilizer bars for great everyday handling that can deliver a little sportiness.

Nighttime visibility is always on point with bi-LED projector headlamps that include automatic low and high beams. The tail lights are LEDs as well, with integrated turn signals and reverse lights. Inside the 2025 Camry LE, you're treated to an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen and a seven-inch digital gauge cluster with selectable displays. The standard tech is top-notch with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, five USB ports, Bluetooth wireless streaming, a wireless charging pad, a six-speaker sound system, a SiriusXM trial subscription, and the latest Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite that contains seven driver assist features, including Proactive Driver Assist.

Toyota Camry SE: Sporty Performance and Style

Do you want your Camry to drive and look a little more like a sports car? The SE trim gives you some flash. The suspension is enhanced with sport-tuned shocks and springs for more agility, and the 16-inch silver alloy wheels are replaced with 18-inch black alloy wheels that improve handling and make a big impression. Aesthetically, owners receive a "blackout" makeover with a racing-inspired mesh front grille, rear lower diffuser, air curtains, and black rear badging. The sprinkles on the ice cream cone are a body-color rear spoiler and dual chrome exhaust tips.

Step into the Toyota Camry SE for even more tweaks and furnishings. The front seats receive SofTex trim, the steering wheel and shift knob have leather trim, and you get to press your feet against aluminum sport pedals. There is also an eight-way power driver's seat, wheel-mounted manual paddle shifters, and two front seatback pockets instead of one. The standard tech is identical to the LE, but you can upgrade to a 12.3-inch infotainment screen as part of a multimedia option package. It's a Camry that brings the fun wherever your travels take you.

Toyota Camry XLE: Premium Tech and Comfort

Those who want sophistication in their daily commuter car should check out the Toyota Camry XLE. It has the same suspension as the LE but uses 18-inch wheels like the SE, albeit with a two-tone black and machined aluminum finish. The tail lights receive a new shape, the front grille is a sleek metallic dark gray, and the window trim changes from black to chrome.

The exterior changes aren't just for appearances, though. The door handles can be locked and unlocked using a touch sensor, and Toyota added its Smart Key System for keyless entry. The headlights are upgraded from bi-LED to dual LED with signature LED daytime running lights for a more precise and stylish lighting profile. Finally, the front side glass has acoustic insulation for an even quieter ride.

The interior is fully loaded from front to back. A heated steering wheel and heated front seats become standard on the XLE, as do leather and microfiber seat trim, eight-way power adjustable driver and passenger seats, and adjustable rear headrests. A 12.3-inch touchscreen and matching 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster are standard, and the auto-dimming rearview mirror and white ambient lighting give you a different view at night.

For an even more upscale driving experience, the Premium Package adds a 10-inch color head-up display, a nine-speaker JBL audio system, ventilated front seats, driver's seat memory settings, Digital Key capabilities via your smartphone, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and a panoramic glass roof. The Premium Plus Package includes all this plus seven more driver assist features, including a Panoramic View Monitor, Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking, Front Cross-Traffic Alert, and Lane Change Assist.

Toyota Camry XSE: The All-Inclusive Camry

Drivers who want the total package—sport-inspired driving, a touch of luxury, and the latest tech—will find it in the Toyota Camry XSE. It combines the SE sport suspension and aesthetics, the XLE premium tech and lighting, and other bonus features for a comprehensive midsize sedan. The most notable add-on is massive 19-inch black and smoked gray wheels for the best handling. Toyota gives the XSE a body color mesh grille, rear diffuser, and front canards with a black rear spoiler and dual chrome exhaust tips to produce a distinct look.

The interior shares most elements with the XLE but introduces full-leather front seats and brings back the SE's sport-style aluminum pedals and paddle shifters. Like the XLE, you can add a touch sensor to the steering wheel, which detects if the driver is holding it. The Premium Package and Premium Plus Package are also available for the ultimate Camry.
