2023 Toyota Prius vs 2023 Kia Niro Hybrid

vs 2023 Kia Niro Hybrid in Hopkinsville, KY

Sporting a refreshed design, the all-new 2023 Toyota Prius may have you questioning whether it's from the future or another dimension entirely. Smooth lines, bold wheels and a shiny glass roof complete the Toyota Prius model's modern look, which captivates onlookers (and your lucky passengers) with its trendy aesthetic. But while a sleek silhouette is appealing, it's nothing compared to this model's manufacturer-estimated combined 57 mpg.1 Reliable fuel efficiency has to be the number one reason the Toyota Prius has been a favorite for decades among consumers, and this time, you won't have to sacrifice dynamic power to achieve fewer stops at the pump. Find yourself turning corners confidently with Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive, a grounded system that directs power when and where you need it most. Transform your commute (and your gas receipts) with the all-new 2023 Toyota Prius.

But wait right there. If you've been considering the new 2023 Kia Niro Hybrid instead of the Toyota Prius, take a look at the table below. You may be startled at the differences you see!

Surprised at the results? We aren't — though we must admit that the new 2023 Kia Niro Hybrid is a great car. It just won't ever come close to the small-but-mighty all-new 2023 Toyota Prius. The Toyota Prius boasts a higher estimated mpg,1,2 but if a few miles per gallon doesn't impress you, how about its available Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive system? Not only does it send power to the rear tires when needed and reverts back to front-wheel drive when it's not, the Kia Niro Hybrid doesn't offer any similar option. You'll just get front-wheel drive and that's it. You've probably also noticed that the Toyota Prius offers a fixed glass roof and heated rear seats on higher trims; the Kia Niro Hybrid only has an optional power sunroof (that doesn't cover the entire ceiling) and no option to provide comfortable in-seat heating for backseat passengers. The Kia Niro Hybrid does have a standard rearview monitor with Dynamic Parking Guidance, but it can't compare to the optional Advanced Park system on the Toyota Prius. With this system activated, your Toyota Prius can properly position and park itself without any driver assistance.3 The Kia Niro Hybrid model's feature, on the other hand, only provides parking suggestions.
